Polyforum, as its name indicates, means multiple forum in which various cultural, political and social activities take place. It has several autonomous spaces such as a theater with a capacity for 500, galleries, offices and the Universal Forum. “Polyforum Siqueiros” is a museum in itself. The 12 exterior panels of the building and the 2,400 square m. of the mural paintings of “The March of Humanity” provide a total of 8,700 square m. of an exceptional and unique representative sample of the movement called “Mexican Muralism,” which originated in 1920.
The Polyforum Siqueiros is also a private institution and it is supported by the resources produced by its cultural activities The funds from donations and sponsors are deposited in the Siqueiros Foundation in order to have transparent resource management, whose main objective is the preservation and restoration of the Polyforum.
